ENERGIZE Clinton County

Since our modest beginnings last November, ENERGIZE Clinton County has been growing at an accelerating pace thanks to your energy and support. The vision of a vibrant and sustainable community in Clinton County is catching hold, so please help ENERGIZE Clinton County provide leadership and community support.

Your contribution will support our work to provide Clinton County with a citizens-based approach to economic development which promotes the exchange of ideas and information, offers education to individuals and businesses, and provides opportunities for citizen action.

You donation will support important projects that invest in laying the foundation for a model sustainable community. We’ve come a long, long way this past year and are extremely excited for the things to come! Some things we’ve been able to accomplish WITH YOUR SUPPORT this past year:

• Lead the initiative with local leaders to establish Wilmington as the country’s first Green Enterprise Zone
• Built the Buy Local Clinton County campaign to over 100 businesses strong!
• Developed the website and marketing for the Clinton County Farmers’ Market–Market at the Mural.
• Helped establish and facilitate the Clinton County Green Alliance — a consortium of Clinton County’s environmental groups.
• Helped facilitate the arrival of Gaia Energy, a European Biomass company which conducted Ohio’s first pilot of corn cob collection for biomass energy.
• Shared the story of Clinton County on the international stage as 2009 Pop!Tech Social Innovation Fellows
• Hosted several educational and community discussions through the Building a Sustainable Community Discussion Series
