ENERGIZE Clinton County (ECC) serves as a regional center for sustainable economic development. We actively seek to identify effective solutions that encourage local, diverse, and sustainable growth in Wilmington and Clinton County. Our mission is to provide additional capacity to individuals, businesses and institutions, in order to sustain our current assets, and provide a supportive foundation for future local, economic growth.

We plan to:

» ENERGIZE Clinton County’s economy by advocating for a long-term, sustainable economic re-development strategy that: rewards employers who offer sustainable Green Collar jobs to Clinton County’s displaced workforce, promotes entrepreneurship and the development of the local economy, and emphasizes energy efficiency.

» ENERGIZE our government by identifying economically sustainable policies and practices to shape strategies and legislation for our local, state, and national governments.

» ENERGIZE the community by serving as a central clearinghouse for the exchange of ideas and information related to sustainable economic development, and by promoting and supporting the work of others in the community working towards economic sustainability and energy efficiency.

» ENERGIZE homes and business by providing education, information and training on steps we can all take live more sustainable lives.
