Energize Clinton County sponsored the creation of an exhibition by Brigitta Mills featuring eight portraits and written narratives telling the unique stories of people in our community. Mills’ work reflects her perspective as both observer and participant in community life in Clinton County.
Mills’ returned from college to her hometown in Clinton County to collect stories from people in the community as a study on the deep impact Clinton County’s economic downtown has had on the lives of individuals. It is a collection that challenges us to ask questions about who we are as a community by opening a window into the deeper lives of people with whom we share this special place in the world.
The exhibition was shared with the public in August of 2010 at the South Street Gallery in Downtown Wilmington.
